Magnet Detecting MagnetometersThis course is designed to train participants in the proper means by which to detect metals that people may be carrying on their person. Dangerous instruments/weapons that people may bring into the built environment and concert halls include switchblades, guns, razors, and knives, among other instruments. Crimes such as active shooters are common in the built environment when metal detectors are not is use by security personnel. Many properties in New York City use magnetometers and handheld metal detecting wands to prevent violent crimes from occurring in their properties.

To meet all certification requirements you must arrive to class ON TIME. Classes start promptly.

Notify the instructor of medical conditions or disabilities. First Aid and CPR classes are physically demanding. If you have a medical condition or disability, please consult your physician before attending the class. It is important that the instructor be notified prior to the start of the class if you suffer from any medical conditions or disabilities. Please wear appropriate clothing, as all First Aid and CPR courses require participants to kneel and lie on the floor during the skills practice.
