  • This course offers the participants the basic overview of a career in Executive Protection. The topics covered in the course are: How to get started in the field, where to find work, typical day as an Executive Protection agent, transporting clients, advance work, possible money earnings, difficulties of the job, what to wear, threat assessment, licenses needed, the difference between celebrity and executive protection, and more. Building Operation, Maintenance and Record Keeping Course for Refrigerating System Operating Engineers

  • This course was developed based on the 3 RCNY 113-12 requirements which will take effect on July 1, 2015. The rule requires that all refrigerating system operating engineers (RSOE) complete a continuing education course in Building Operation, Maintenance and Record Keeping. This will ensure that operating engineers, who typically have other important responsibilities relating to building operation and maintenance, are familiar with applicable Fire Code requirements, which have undergone a comprehensive revision in 2008 and were revised again in March of 2014. Course Duration: 1 Day, 7 Hours.

Non-Fire Emergency Course/Component of the FLSD F-89 Course/EAP Director

  • This course explores the actions required of Fire and Life Safety Directors (FLSD) when emergencies other fires occur in the built environment in the City of New York. Course Duration: 1 Day, 7 Hours.

Fire Emergency Course/Component of the FLSD F-89 Course/Fire Safety Director

  • This course explores the actions required of Fire and Life Safety Director (FLSD) when fire/smoke emergencies occur in the built environment in the City of New York, particularly those properties classified B/Commercial Office Buildings and R-1/Hotels/Motels. Course Duration: 4 Days, 1 Day per Week, 5.5 Hours Each Day.

Fire and Life Safety Director F-89 Course (This course has not been released F-89)

  • This course is comprised of three components: Fire Emergency (20 Hours), Non-Fire Emergency (7 Hours) and Active Shooter/Medical Emergency (4 Hours) courses. Course Duration: 6 days, 31 hours.

Active Shooter and Medical Emergency Preparedness Course/Component of the FLSD Course F-89

  • Fire Safety Directors F-25 and F-58 holders must attend the Active Shooter/Medical Emergency training course by September 4, 2017, or the expiration of the certificate of fitness F-25 or F-58, whichever is sooner. Emergency Action Plan Directors F-59 holders must attend the Active Shooter/Medical Emergency training course by September 4, 2017, or the expiration of the certificate of fitness F-59, whichever is sooner. Course Duration: 1 Day, 4 Hours

Construction Site Fire Safety Manager S-56

  • This course is designed to prepare candidates for the Construction Site Fire Safety Manager S-56 Certificate of Fitness. All aspects of fire prevention and protection in buildings being constructed or deconstructed are explored and discussed in depth throughout the course. The study material for this course was prepared by the FDNY. Course Duration: 1 Day, 7-8 Hours.

OSHA 10 Hour Construction Industry Course

  • The mission of OSHA is to assure safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance. Some of the things OSHA does to carry out its mission are 1) Developing job safety and health standards and enforcing them through worksite inspections, 2) Providing training programs to increase knowledge about occupational safety and health. Course Duration: 2 Days, 5 Hours Each Day.

High Pressure Boiler Operating Engineer Preparatory Course

  • This course is designed to aid the candidate in understanding the material and work requirements to pass the written exam to obtain an Engineer's License. Stationary engineers and boiler operators control stationary engines, boilers, or other mechanical equipment to provide utilities for buildings or for industrial purposes. The majority of NYC stationary engineers and boiler operators work in manufacturing, government, educational services, and hospitals. Those who work in facilities that operate around the clock often work evenings and weekends. Shift work also is common. This is not a qualifying course; it is preparatory only. Course Duration: 6 Days, 3 Hours Each Day.

High Pressure Boiler Operating Engineer Practical Course

  • This course is designed to aid the candidate in understanding the equipment and systems on the Practical portion of the Engineer's License Exam. Each student will receive a text book identifying the major components that they will be questioned on for the exam. The student will also receive a study guide question book which will familiarize them with the material relevant to the practical. The fee includes two three (3) hour classes. The first class presents the information. This gives the student ample time to study and prepare questions regarding the material. The second class reviews the information and provides the student clarification of the material, and an opportunity to review any questions they may have. This is not a qualifying course; it is preparatory only. Course Duration: 2 Days, 3 Hours Each Day.

Coordinator of Fire Safety and Alarm Systems in Homeless Shelters F-80

  • Coordinators are required in homeless shelters in NYC to ensure the safety of the employees and clients in fire emergencies and emergencies other than fires. The study material for this course was prepared by the FDNY. Course Duration: 1 Day, 6-8 Hours.

Fire Guard F-01

  • This course prepares participants for impairments of fire alarm systems, standpipe systems and sprinkler systems in all properties in NYC. The study material for this course was prepared by the FDNY. Course Duration: 1 Day, 4 Hours.

First Aid, CPR/AED Course (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator)

  • This course prepares participants to provide first aid assistance to those in need. This class is sponsored by the American Red Cross. Course Duration: 1 Day, 5-6 Hours.

Security/Eight Hour Pre-Assignment Training Course for Security Guards

  • This is the first of three security courses required by NYS for individuals seeking a NYS Security License. Course Duration: 1 Day, 8 Hours.

Security/Sixteen Hour On-the-Job Training Course for Security Guards

  • This is the second of the three security courses required by NYS. This course must be completed within 90 days of beginning your first security job in NYS. Course Duration: 2 Days, 8 Hours Each Day.

Security/Eight Hour Annual In-Service Training Course for Security Guards

  • This is the third of the three security courses required by NYS. This course must be completed annually to maintain the NYS Security License active. Course Duration: 1 Day, 8 Hours.
